Gourmet Getaways is owned and operated by Sharon Heggie and Christine Wansleben, Chef & owner of Mise En Place Cooking School in Richmond, Virginia. Sharon has over 20 years experience in the travel industry with a true love for the culinary arts, which began when she and her son, a Le Cordon Bleu trained chef, ran a quaint bed and breakfast in Canada. Christine is a Chef, with a degree from the Institute of Culinary Education in NYC and has traveled to countries all around the globe. Together they combined their talents and worldwide travels throughout 36 countries, to form Gourmet Getaways, a one-of-a-kind travel service that will wine and dine you all the way to that special destination you've always dreamed of.
