Overview
Celebrations with family, friends or associates should be a special, one-of-a-kind experience, unlike your standard" sit down and be served" lunch or dinner. At Mise En Place, we have been developing recipes for unique dining experiences that are as delicious as they are fun. Chef Christine Wansleben or one of our fabulous chefs, will make sure you and your guests will enjoy a hands-on cooking experience, preparing and indulging in a three-course meal made from the finest and freshest ingredients available. The lively experience of group cooking, combined with the laughter & conversation, creates memories that events continue for weeks after the last desserts are served.

Description
Our Private Culinary Event is a two and a half hands-on event from start to finish.
When you arrive at Mise En Place, you'll be greeted with refreshing beverages and hors d'oeuvres. You will have about 10 minutes to mingle before Chef/Owner Christine Wansleben introduces herself (or guest chef) and reviews the event's menu. Your group coordinator will select a custom 3-course menu from our seasonal selections.
Before entering the kitchen, each team member is supplied a "house" apron and recipe packet, which they get to keep (the recipes). We divide your group into smaller teams that work directly with the chef(s) to prepare items from a three-course menu using only premium, quality ingredients. Our seasoned, professional chefs reveal useful techniques throughout the cooking experience while answering your culinary questions and providing personal insights into the recipes. Everyone enjoys the preparation of the meal in our relaxed, gourmet kitchen with soft music in the background.
The hands-on cooking segment lasts about 60 minutes, depending on your group size and your menu. Don't forget to have someone bring a camera to document your experience and to enjoy.
When the cooking segment ends, guests retire to our pre-set dining area to enjoy their gourmet meal with a complimentary glass of wine and other beverages.

Private Event Cancellation Policy
Event Times: We schedule Team Building Culinary Events for lunch or dinner, with a lunch start time of 11:30am and an evening start time of 6:30pm (unless otherwise specified). A delayed start by client is considered overtime and is subject to a surcharge of $150.00 per hour. Additional time may be added to an event for a fee. All events must conclude by 2:00pm/9:30pm.
Group Sizes: We have a 6-person minimum and 24-person maximum for our hands-on/full participation events.
Deposit & Final Payment Policy: A 25% deposit is required once the contract has been signed, to secure a date. The remaining balance is due in full the day of the event and will be charged to the credit card provided unless other arrangements have been made in advance. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express & personal check.
Cancellation Policy: For less than two weeks notice, the event deposit is non-refundable. For cancellations of less than 72 hours notice, the entire fee is due in full. Final count of participants is due no later than 48 hrs. prior to event or invoice will reflect most recent confirmed number.
